The heart of this beast is 3.2 liter V-6 powerhead featuring a stroked and precision-balanced crankshaft, maximized for power and performance. Mercury’s most powerful OptiMax is at home winging anglers to their favorite fishing hot spot or pulling the kids on the tube. With multiple shaft lengths, gearcase styles, and gear ratios, the versatile engine is fit for virtually any application.
The OptiMax 250 SportXS is all about efficiency without sacrificing performance. It is fueled by 87 octane – making it remarkably high performance without the cost of premium fuel. The direct fuel injection system dramatically improves fuel-economy, giving you more time on the water. Low-water pickups and a crescent leading edge design enable the race-proven Sport Master gearcase to operate at elevated transom heights of 27” to 30” (685 mm to 762 mm) for maximum efficiency and speed.

The OptiMax 200XS SST (Super Sport Tunnel) outboard features a 2.5 Liter OptiMax powerhead mounted on a race-proven 12” mid-section coupled to a IV SSM gearcase. The 200XS SST won the 2000 24 Hours of Rouen endurance powerboat races overall and has won Class 2 competition multiple times. It is also the official power of the UIM F2 World Championship Series.
FOUR STROKE TUNNEL RACE
The 60 h.p. in-line four-cylinder 60 EFI FormulaRace outboard expands Racing’s breadth of low-emissions 4-strokes; an offspring of the venerable Verado 350 SCi outboard. The two join Mercury Racing’s line of OptiMax “XS” series of low-emissions 2-stroke outboards.
The Fleet Master is intended for center-console offshore applications and offers a hevy-duty offshore-bearing carrier, plus a double shot-peened pinion gear.
Dual water pickups, mounted on the nose of the torpedo and strut, features additional water flow and cooling.

The Pro Finish Bravo I OC (Outboard Catamaran) features a total of eight Performance Vent System (PVS) vent holes for fine-tuned performance on high-powered outboard catamarans. The prop diameter is cut down to 14.75" and features a pitch range of 28 to 35 (even and odd) sizes and left- and right-hand rotation. A shortened exhaust barrel settles the stern to minimize drag, while a reshaped blade maximizes performance. The prop has been tested on 28-foot to 32-foot Skaters, Talon, DCB, Spectre and Doug Wright hulls. It outperformed three- and four-blade cleavers in both acceleration and top-end speed (medium to heavy loads).
A new casting technique makes the Chopper II propeller more durable than ever. The new Chopper II, an improved version of the original Chopper propeller, works well on heavier boats that need bow lift. The enhanced bow lift reduces drag, increasing the efficiency of the boat and improving overall performance. The Chopper II permits higher engine mounting on the transom for greater speed.
A new casting technique makes the Lightning E.T. propeller more durable than ever. The Lightning E.T., first introduced as an outboard drag racing propeller, is providing top performance in a variety of boat applications (bass, flats and modified vee bottoms. Besides delivering an incredible hole shot and awesome acceleration, the Lightning E.T. also produces natural bow lift, reducing drag and increasing the efficiency of the boat. This adds up to higher speeds and better fuel economy, requiring less engine trim. Both Chopper II and Lightning E.T. propellers are available in 14.5" (368.3 mm) diameter, with 24"- 32" (609.6 mm - 812.8 mm) pitch in right-hand and left-hand rotation. Models with 14.5" (368.3 mm) diameter, 22" (558.8 mm) pitch are available in right-hand rotation only.
The new 4-blade Pro E.T.® outboard propeller is based off the popular three-blade Lightning E.T. Rated for 300 h.p., the new Pro E.T. is a natural for the new OptiMax 300XS outboard. New to this particular propeller is an option of Pro Finish or Lab Finish.
Our over-the-hub outboard cleavers are inspired from racing and designed to run flat-out at the water’s surface. They’re offered in both a Pro Finish and Lab Finish model. The Pro Finish boasts three stout blades with durable leading edges perfectly suited for higher horsepower applications for the long haul.s. The Lab Finish features thinner blades, crisp leading and tight trailing edges for those with a need for speed.
The over the hub exhaust style cleaver propeller, inspired from racing, are designed to run at the water surface for maximum efficiency. They work best on 150 - 300 HP outboards with lightweight hulls which have natural bow lift.
GET DIALED-IN WITH NEW BRAVO I FS PROPELLERS. The versatility of our popular Pro finish Bravo I FS propellers has expanded with the addition of Mercury’s Performance Vent System. The adjustable propeller exhaust vent system enables operators to dial-in their propeller for peak performance. Solid PVS fittings are installed at the factory. Optional open vent fittings are included with each propeller.
The Mercury Racing Pro Finished Bravo I XS outboard propellers offer excellent time to plane performance, sweet mid-range punch and awesome top-end speeds for bass, flats, cat flats and performance center console bay boats.
Mercury Racing produces the through hub exhaust Cleaver for 40 - 60 HP outboards designed to run high for maximum speed. The Cleaver works best with light weight hulls primarily cats or tunnels and limited use with vee bottoms.
